Jeff Zisselman on What in Right in the World and how to Help in the Phillipines

Today I received this humbling update on the Force for Good and what Nu Skin Distributors have been able to accomplish already in the Philippines.  It is truly an honor to work with this outstanding company.

Thank you for your generosity in donating cash and/or VitaMeal to aid in the Philippines relief effort. We are humbled by the response we have received. Nu Skin’s mission to be a “Force for Good” is evidenced by your contributions to assist with this relief effort. So far, Nu Skin partners and the company have donated over $100,000 (USD) and more than 6,000 bags of VitaMeal.

In the aftermath of the typhoon, we have requested an increase of VitaMeal donations be directed to those affected in the hardest hit areas where VitaMeal can be prepared and served at emergency shelters. This direction of VitaMeal will be in effect through the end of the year.

In our latest update from partner Feed the Children, we were given the following information: “Currently our staff is providing hot meals (VitaMeal) and water via mobile kitchens to families in the hardest hit areas in the Visayas. We have (3) teams that will cover (5) provinces – Cebu, Leyte, Samar, Iloilo, Capiz. The plan is to target 3,000 people per day in no less than 10 communities within the next five days.”
